About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Dallas, TX. This role is critical for delivering patient-centered care within a high-acuity, acute care hospital setting. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest clinical standards while adapting to the dynamic needs of critically ill patients.
The Role
In this 13-week contract, you will serve as a vital member of the ICU team, managing multiple patients in a demanding environment. Your day will involve performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments according to physician orders. You will play a key role in patient safety by monitoring vitals and pain levels, reporting clinical changes promptly, and maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
Beyond clinical duties, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient mobility where applicable. A significant part of your impact will be educating patients and their families on care plans and discharge instructions. Success in this position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage the complexities of high-acuity care while adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements
- verifiedActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- verifiedBLS Certification
- verifiedMinimum 1-2 years of recent ICU experience
- verifiedExperience with IV therapy, telemetry, and high-acuity patients
- verifiedACLS certification preferred
Nice to Have
Experience in hospital or clinical setting. ACLS certification.
