Travel Nurse RN - Endoscopy

About the Position

TravelNurseSource is partnering with Mindlance Health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for an Endoscopy unit in Salem, Virginia. This 13-week contract offers a dynamic opportunity to work within a busy department handling 20 to 30 patients daily across four procedure rooms.

The Role and Environment

In this position, you will serve as a versatile team member in a fast-paced setting. The unit operates primarily with RNs, supported by scrub techs and scope room techs. You will be trained to manage the full patient journey: admitting patients, circulating and scrubbing in for procedural cases, recovering patients, and discharging them. The team utilizes Olympus scopes and Provation for procedural documentation within the Meditech EMR.

The role requires flexibility, including weekday and weekend call coverage for all staff members.

Hiring and Onboarding

Candidates must complete specific onboarding requirements, including the Endoscopy RN Skills Checklist and the Endoscopy/GI Lab RN Exam. Successful applicants will be expected to wear hospital-issued scrubs and adhere to surgical attire policies, which include no visible piercings.
