TravelNurseSource is partnering with Cynet Health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room and Trauma unit in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment while contributing to critical patient care.
As an ER/Trauma RN, you will serve as a vital member of the medical team, managing acute patient needs in a fast-paced setting. The position focuses on delivering high-quality care while navigating the unique challenges of a trauma center. You will be expected to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability, as the role requires working independently in new environments. This experience is designed to build resilience and confidence, allowing you to handle unforeseen circumstances with professionalism.
The schedule typically involves night shifts (3 days x 12 hours), with a guaranteed minimum of 84 hours per two-week pay period. Orientation is conducted bi-weekly to ensure you are fully integrated into the facility's protocols. The role offers the chance to work with diverse medical technologies and bring fresh perspectives to improve patient safety and care quality.
Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be considered. The application process requires the submission of all required certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, and CPI. A thorough background check is mandatory.
To proceed, applicants must provide two professional references: one from a charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year. Assignment confirmation is required within 24 hours of accepting an offer. Please note that travelers may only submit to one position at a time, and pairs are accepted minimally with the restriction that they cannot work the same shift or unit.
Travelers are required to be willing to work major or minor holidays. A minimum six-month break from the system is required after working one year. Additionally, any Request to Off (RTO) must be presented upfront, as no changes will be accepted after submission.
