The Cardiac Catheterization Lab at this Longmont, CO facility operates as a combined unit, managing both cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology (IR) procedures. The team handles an average of four cases daily, treating a diverse range of patients including those with STEMI, NSTEMI, and pacemaker needs. Cardiologists are present in-house during the day and on call overnight to support the team.
As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will circulate and monitor cases, managing patient care before and after procedures. You will also handle pre-procedure and post-procedure patient calls. The role requires a strong foundation in catheterization experience, with IR experience or a willingness to learn being highly valued. You will work alongside Nurse Manager Tara Horne, Nurse Coordinator John Crane, and a dedicated team of Cath Lab Techs.
This 13-week contract offers a day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with 15 call shifts every six weeks. The standard rotation consists of four 9-hour shifts per week. Call requirements include approximately 10 weeknight calls per month, weekend call duties roughly every third weekend, and shared holiday call responsibilities. A 30-minute response time is expected for call duties.
Candidates must be located within a 60-mile radius of the facility and submit a valid driver's license. The hiring process begins with a profile review by MedSol Clinical, followed by an interview with the Unit Manager. Successful candidates must be in the state during the week of orientation, even if initial modules are remote. Orientation spans a couple of days following the general CSH orientation.
