About the Position

This 11-week contract role seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to support the Radiology department at a facility in Arlington, VA. The position operates on a night shift schedule (5 days x 8 hours, 22:00 - 06:30) starting July 27, 2026. The team utilizes a variety of high-end imaging equipment, including the Siemens Skyra 3T, Siemens Sola 1.5T, and GE Signa HDx 1.5T.

Role Context & Workflow

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role requires proficiency with the EPIC electronic health record system; all travelers must attend an EPIC class (accelerated or 2-day) unless they have returned to the facility within the past six months. Successful candidates will integrate into a smoke-free facility environment, adhering to strict compliance standards.

Hiring & Application Instructions

To be considered for this assignment, candidates must submit a complete packet including proof of an active Virginia license (in-hand at time of submission) and relevant certifications. Travelers with pending licenses will be rejected, with the exception of specific IR Tech roles that may submit with proof of application.

Submissions must include:

• Updated interview availability and a confirmed start date matching the job order.
• A statement of EPIC experience to determine training requirements (test-out vs. 2-day class).
• Adherence to the policy that travelers may only submit to one job ID at a time.

Note: Previous staff members of the facility must wait one year before returning as travelers. RTO (Request Time Off) should be minimized and included in the initial submission; approval is at the manager's discretion.

Compliance & Vaccination

This facility is a smoke and nicotine-free environment. During flu season (October 1st – March 31st), the Flu vaccine is required. Medical or religious exemptions must be requested by the agency and comply with CMS guidelines, with approval handled by Qualivis. The COVID-19 vaccine is also required, with exemptions allowed only for medical reasons.
