About the Position

This 13-week contract role is for an MRI Technologist to support the Radiology department at a facility in Arlington, VA. The position operates on a day shift schedule (4 days x 10 hours) with a start date of June 22, 2026. The team utilizes a variety of equipment including Siemens Skyra 3T, Siemens Sola 1.5T, and GE Signa HDx 1.5T scanners.

Role Context & Expectations

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. The role requires proficiency with the EPIC electronic health record system; all travelers must attend either an accelerated or 2-day EPIC class unless they have been a previous VHC staff member within the last 6 months. Candidates must provide a statement of their EPIC experience to determine if they can test out of training or require the full class.

The facility is a smoke and nicotine-free environment. Travelers are expected to work some holidays, and requests for time off (RTO) should be kept to a minimum, preferably avoiding calendar weeks off. RTO requests must be included in the initial submission and are subject to manager discretion.

To be considered for this position, candidates must submit a complete packet including proof of an active Virginia license (in hand at the time of submission). Note that pending licenses will result in rejection, with the exception of IR Techs who may submit with proof of application.

Submission Requirements:

• Updated and accurate interview availability.
• Start date listed in both the submission packet and the candidate's Lotus Connect profile.
• Statement of EPIC experience in the past year.
• Travelers are permitted to submit to only one job ID at a time.
• Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler.

Compliance & Vaccination

Vaccination requirements are strictly enforced. The Flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1st – March 31st). Medical or religious exemptions are reviewed by the agency to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines. The COVID-19 vaccine is also required, with exemptions allowed only for medical reasons.
