About the Role
This 13-week contract positions a Medical Technologist to support the clinical laboratory operations in Shreveport, Louisiana. The role is designed for professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment, offering the opportunity to work alongside dedicated teams in a facility overlooking the Red River. As a key member of the Allied health team, you will apply your expertise in blood banking, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and urinalysis to ensure accurate diagnostic results that drive patient care.
Shreveport, known as the "Star City of the South," offers a vibrant backdrop for your assignment. From lush pine forests and picturesque waterways to a rich cultural scene featuring casinos, galleries, and art shows, the location provides a unique blend of professional opportunity and lifestyle appeal.
Hiring Process
To apply for this assignment, candidates must meet specific state and national certification requirements, including a valid Louisiana license and certification from ASCP, AAB, or HEW/HHS. The process involves verifying credentials, confirming work history gaps do not exceed 90 days in the last year, and providing two professional references. Successful candidates will be matched with the facility based on availability and specific shift requirements (Evenings, 3 days x 12 hours).
