About the Position
This opportunity is for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist role at Mad River Community Hospital in Arcata, California. The position focuses on supporting the hospital's clinical laboratory operations with a specific emphasis on blood bank experience.
The role operates on a unique 12-hour night shift schedule, working 7 days on followed by 7 days off. The rotation runs from Wednesday through Tuesday, alternating every other week. This schedule is designed to provide extended time off while ensuring continuous coverage for the facility.
Location and Housing

Onboarding Requirements
To complete onboarding, candidates must possess a current California CLS or MLS license and TB clearance obtained within the past 12 months. Additionally, the following certifications and screenings are required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Core Exam - Allied/Non-Nursing
- Ishihara Colorvision Screening
