About the Role

This travel assignment places you in Asheville, North Carolina, a city named a must-see destination by Frommer's Travel Guides. Surrounded by the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains, the location offers a stunning backdrop for your time off, with opportunities for hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, and even llama trekking.

You will join a large breast center staffed by an average of 10 technologists daily. The unit handles an average of 38 screening mammograms and 18 diagnostic procedures per day. You will operate the GE Senographe Pristina equipment and utilize Cerner and Penrad documentation systems. The role involves performing stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography.

A key aspect of this position is the patient experience. You will work within a women's imaging center, requiring a mindful approach to patients with histories of cancer and treatments such as lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. While the primary schedule is Monday through Friday, you may be required to work Saturdays as needed and float to other breast centers within the network.
