About the Assignment

This opportunity places you in Austin, Texas, at a Joint Commission-accredited facility holding a Maternal Designation Level III and Neonatal Level II designation. The Labor & Delivery unit is located on the 2nd floor and features a high-risk OB patient population, including obstetrical patients with Level I and II injuries. The unit comprises 12 LDR beds, 5 Antepartum beds, 4 OB Emergency Department (OBED) beds, and 3 OR rooms.

You will join a highly engaged staff with a strong team-oriented culture, consisting of a mix of tenured and newer nurses on both day and night shifts. The management team is actively engaged and regularly rounds on nights and weekends. The facility utilizes a self-scheduling model where team members collaborate on the schedule. Procedures performed in this environment include C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries, scheduled and emergent C-hysterectories, and massive transfusions.

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible. To be considered, you must provide a US SSN and date of birth, along with one professional reference (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri). Please note that first-time travelers are not eligible for this specific assignment due to the requirement for at least 2 years of high-risk OB experience.
