This opportunity places a Labor and Delivery RN at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, recognized as the USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska. The unit is a high-volume, high-risk environment managing an average of 7 daily deliveries, with peaks up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases. The facility features 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms.
The role involves caring for a diverse census of adolescents and adults, ranging from routine OB triage and third-trimester testing to complex high-risk deliveries. The team supports a wide array of procedures including cervical cerclage, cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and D&Cs. Candidates will work within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment supported by IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
To apply, candidates must submit a complete profile including a copy of certifications, references (covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years), and a confirmed Return to Office (RTO) plan. Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted. While a pending Alaska RN license is accepted for initial submission, the license must be in hand for an auto-offer to be processed.
Please note that candidates can only be submitted to one location within the region (PAMC, Seward, Valdez, Saint Elias Specialty Hospital, or Kodiak). Travelers must be willing to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year). Additionally, permanent staff separated from Providence for less than 3 months are not eligible to return as travelers, and travelers are limited to a maximum of one calendar year per assignment, followed by a mandatory 6-month break before returning to the same facility.
Prime Staffing is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status.
