Cynet Health is seeking a Dietetic Technician to join our Dietary Services team in New York City. This 8-week (59-day) contract role is designed to support hospital nutrition operations during a critical period. The position focuses on delivering high-quality dietary care while maintaining strict infection control standards and efficient supply management.
As a Dietetic Technician, you will work the day shift from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, five days a week. Your responsibilities will include delivering meals, assisting with food preparation, and managing the storage and ordering of supplies. You will be expected to utilize computerized documentation systems, with experience in EPIC being a strong asset, to ensure accurate charting and communication with Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses. Success in this role requires strong time management skills to handle rotating weekends and holidays, as well as the ability to maintain a professional environment while adhering to strict food safety protocols.
Candidates must hold a New York state license and a Food Safety Certification at the time of booking. A high school diploma or GED and an Associate's degree are mandatory. We require a minimum of two years of hospital nutrition-related work experience, or enrollment in an approved education program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or internal electronic feeding management systems, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, is essential. A valid BLS certification is required for onboarding.
