About the Role
Ascension Seton is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) to join our Trauma Surgery Department at Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, Texas. This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system, offering the chance to practice in an established team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
You will provide comprehensive direct care to a patient population aged 15 and up in an inpatient setting. Your day will involve conducting thorough patient histories and physical assessments to build an accurate picture of each patient's health status. You will formulate precise treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic procedures, and manage ongoing health conditions under physician supervision. A key part of your role is empowering patients and families through clear counseling on preventative health, treatment pathways, and community resources to improve long-term wellness.
