The Transportation Engineering Technician Trainee (TRETTR Level 1) serves as an entry-level professional within the Geospatial Unit of the Right of Way Division. Based primarily in Mineral County, this position is designed as a training capacity where you will learn the fundamental concepts of highway and bridge construction and maintenance. You will engage in introductory surveying and mapping tasks while participating in a structured program requiring 180 Technician Development Hours.
This role is critical to the social, physical, and economic well-being of the community, as your work product directly influences the design and operation of transportation systems. You will collaborate with employees across immediate organizations, offices, and project units to ensure the adequacy of field investigations and testing operations.
