We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Construction Representative to oversee contractor performance and ensure strict compliance with contract terms for our electric transmission system projects. This role is vital to ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with design specifications, ranging from simple upgrades to the construction of new substations.
In this position, you will manage a wide scope of projects, proactively identifying potential issues such as design flaws, material shortages, or access challenges. You will apply expert knowledge of line, substation, and civil construction requirements to interpret engineering drawings and provide guidance for their application. Beyond technical oversight, you will mentor and train lower-level representatives, sharing best practices and demonstrating leadership to ensure the smooth, compliant execution of key construction projects.
This role requires working in diverse conditions, including rough terrain and inclement weather. The position may involve standing, reaching, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods, as well as lifting, carrying, or moving up to 50 pounds. Employees must be prepared to travel and may occasionally work more than 40 hours per week to meet project demands.
