Transdev is a global leader in mobility, operating transportation systems for cities, counties, airports, and universities across the U.S. and in 19 countries worldwide. With over 110,000 team members, we are driven by a purpose to empower the freedom to move every day through safe, reliable, and innovative solutions that serve the common good.
Our Autonomous Driving Division has developed a robust culture of safety, professionalism, and a deep commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). We expect every team member to champion our standards of conduct and foster an inclusive environment where innovation thrives.
This position serves as a critical bridge between our training operations and the cutting-edge technology of autonomous vehicle development. You will act as a deputy for technology, communicating courteously with management, engineers, and the public while ensuring the highest standards of safety inside and outside the vehicle.
As a leader within the instructor group, you will be the liaison between Transdev training managers and the broader team. Your day will involve orchestrating training needs for multiple cohorts, facilitating regular instructor assessments, and ensuring accurate knowledge transfer to trainees. You will be the "guru on the most updated versions of autonomous vehicle systems," serving as the expert for the experts. This role requires you to set the tone for less experienced operations drivers and new instructors, practicing a firm yet understanding teaching style that accommodates diverse learning styles.
You will also coordinate daily instructor assignments, lead program development for training materials, and conduct ride-alongs to ensure training is delivered accurately and fairly. In high-pressure environments, you will respond quickly to changing scenarios, ensuring that safety remains the primary goal of every operation.
Candidates selected for this role must be 21 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictions. The process includes a pre-employment drug screen and background check. As a safety-sensitive position, successful candidates will also be subject to a physical screening and must maintain an acceptable driving record. We may require participation in a random drug screening program consistent with our Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Transdev is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer. We welcome all qualified applicants and provide fair and impartial consideration without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic data, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or any other legally protected status. We are committed to making reasonable accommodations for applicants and candidates with disabilities to participate in the application and interview process.
