The North Tarrant Express (NTE), NTE 35W, and LBJ Express represent a portfolio of transformative transportation projects in Texas led by the Cintra consortium. The original NTE was the first design-build-finance-operate-maintain managed lanes project in the state, successfully doubling capacity and significantly reducing congestion along the I-820/SH-183 corridor. The NTE 35W project extends this success from downtown Fort Worth to Alliance Airport, utilizing variable pricing to keep traffic moving. Meanwhile, the LBJ Express stands as the largest Public-Private Partnership (P3) operation in Texas, relieving severe congestion in north Dallas.
