Our Dubuque location features a Goodyear Authorized Retread plant, where we help customers save money on new tires through high-quality retreading services. This facility is home to a tight-knit team of industry experts who work side by side to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

About the Role

The Thompson Tire Production Associate plays a vital role in our retread plant, ensuring the safe and efficient transformation of commercial tires. In this physically demanding position, you will support the entire retread process, moving through various stages from initial inspection to final quality assurance.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting tires to assess their retread potential, buffing casings to remove worn tread, and removing embedded objects, rust, and debris. You will repair tire casings using rubber cement or patches, build the tire by applying new tread, and cure the tire to mold the retread application. Finally, you will conduct a final inspection to ensure every product is safe and meets quality standards.

No prior experience is necessary for this role; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to help you become competent in all workstations. Success in this position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn. You will work in an automotive repair shop environment, utilizing hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
