About the Role

We are seeking a Full-Time Therapist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will be part of an amazing vision to change lives by empowering each client's inherent strengths and making a difference in countless lives. You will provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions within our Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization mental health facility.

You will assess the therapeutic needs of clients, develop appropriate treatment plans, and facilitate therapy sessions. Your day will involve collaborating with clients, team members, external clinical partners, and family members to coordinate care throughout the treatment process. You will serve as a clinical advocate, conducting effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation while maintaining therapeutic relationships using praise and other reinforcers to encourage appropriate behaviors and attitudes.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleConduct psychosocial evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans for clients
  • check_circleComplete clinical documentation including contact logs, discharge plans, and reports in compliance with guidelines
  • check_circleCollaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate client care from admission through discharge
  • check_circleConduct effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation involving other team members as needed
  • check_circleSupervise and co-lead therapy groups with clinical interns when appropriate
  • check_circleFacilitate group, family, and individual therapy sessions in accordance with the clinical program schedule

  • check_circleSelect and implement appropriate interventions to meet the clinical needs of individual clients

Requirements

  • verifiedMaster's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or psychology
