The Product Operations Test Engineering team is a passionate, highly skilled, and hard-working group of engineers from diverse backgrounds. We cover all aspects of inspection and test equipment development, including prototyping, modeling, and simulation.
Our mission is to optimize Apple production test lines in terms of productivity, automation, performance, and overall cost-effectiveness. We achieve this by introducing new concepts for production test line architecture, test equipment, and test methods.
We are seeking a Test Lead to join us in developing and owning the tools used to test and calibrate components for all Apple products. This role is designed for a self-motivated individual who can drive effective communication and collaboration across all teams.
In this position, you will develop and deliver test system solutions that meet business objectives for performance, cost, quality, reliability, and schedule. You will optimize test and calibration processes for hardware sub-systems and work collaboratively with teams across design, software, systems, and operations departments. A key part of your day will involve presenting program status updates to internal teams and executives, as well as partnering with external vendors to manage the manufacturing of test hardware and bring up production lines.
Candidates selected for this role may be required to travel internationally approximately 10% of the time to support production line activities.
Apple is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, gender, age, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.
