This is a remote position with a specific regional focus: supporting customers in Nevada exclusively. While the role is designed for working from home, candidates must reside within or adjacent to the Nevada region to effectively serve the local market.
You will hunt within a defined territory to prospect and win net new small to medium business customers. As a high-velocity sales position, you will leverage a prioritized call list to drive prospect engagement remotely via phone, video, and face-to-face meetings, utilizing digital tools to maximize efficiency.
Your day will involve setting the required number of appointments with key decision-makers and utilizing professional selling skills to discover incremental and programmatic needs. You will communicate Staples' value propositions, capabilities, and product assortments across all categories, overcoming objections to close sales. Success in this role requires creating "sticky" accounts that continue to purchase from Staples by integrating prospect feedback into your sales approach.
You will work closely with internal partners, including customer support, setup teams, and category specialists, to progress deals from opportunity to "closed won." This includes implementing and ramping wins to ensure compliance with new account programs and managing new customer assortment and pricing. The role demands a consultative approach, analyzing business and industry trends to create tailored solutions for prospects.
