About the Role
Temp Assignment Based RNs are experienced, proficient nurses responsible for providing safe, continuous, and high-quality patient care across a variety of settings within Novant Health. These professionals are temporarily assigned to a specific unit for a designated number of weeks to address fluctuating system needs. The role requires flexibility, as RNs must be prepared to work at any Novant Health location.
What You'll Do
In this position, you will deliver direct patient care while strictly adhering to all safety regulations. You will be responsible for implementing treatment plans tailored to patient needs, ensuring care is modified appropriately based on age-specific requirements. Success in this role involves interpreting patient information to identify specific care needs and maintaining effective communication through strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Hiring & Certification Requirements
To join the team, candidates must successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. New hires are required to complete the Cardiac Dysrhythmia test or course within three months of employment and obtain NIH Stroke Scale certification upon hire. Additionally, specific certifications are required based on the assigned specialty:
- Emergency Services, Behavioral Health, and Med Surg RNs: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification.
- Women's Services RNs: Breastfeeding course.
- Labor and Delivery/Antepartum RNs: Fetal monitoring course and breastfeeding course.
