Teller Supervisor

About the Role

This position serves as the operational anchor for the teller area, blending hands-on transactional duties with the oversight of all teller staff and functions. The role is designed to ensure the seamless flow of banking operations while maintaining the highest standards of asset protection and customer service.

You will act as both a practitioner and a mentor, performing basic paying and receiving duties while simultaneously training tellers on new procedures, regulations, and the Premier Teller program. A key part of your day involves fostering a culture of two-way communication, establishing clear performance objectives, and providing the resources necessary for your team to grow and succeed.

Team Context

As the supervisor for tellers in the designated branch, you bridge the gap between daily operations and management strategy. You are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the teller department, ensuring that customer service and quality standards are consistently upheld. This role requires a deep understanding of banking operations, guidelines, and products to effectively guide the team through complex transactions, from large deposits and holds to bond processing and Canadian currency exchanges.
