This position supports the mission of the University by applying thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of entries related to university operations. The role involves recording, examining, and analyzing financial transactions, computing financial data, and preparing reports. You will monitor accounts and review financial transactions for accuracy and conformance with established standards and procedures.
In this capacity, you will coordinate with Financial Services and department staff to ensure accurate recording of revenue received through events, activities, and campus commerce. You will process and analyze accounting transactions within the Oracle Fusion system, reconcile eCommerce revenue, and establish controls for accurate revenue recognition. The role requires advising Business Officers and Financial Managers regarding the accuracy and collectability of outstanding receivables while periodically reviewing processes for efficiency and internal control weaknesses.
