This position is responsible for the internal and external maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of Chico's facilities. You will serve as the frontline guardian of our physical environment, ensuring that our stores and offices remain safe, functional, and welcoming for both associates and customers. From carpentry and painting to plumbing upkeep, HVAC support, and grounds keeping, you will handle a wide variety of tasks that keep our operations running smoothly.
Your day will involve conducting inspections to identify building maintenance needs, from restocking bottled water stations to policing grounds for trash. You will maintain all painted surfaces, spackle, and repaint offices and hallways, while also managing stock storage areas for maintenance supplies. You will operate and maintain a variety of mechanical and hand tools required for carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance. Additionally, you will assist with physical moves, including the assembly and disassembly of prefabricated furniture, and ensure the upkeep of plumbing fixtures and electrical rooms. In the event of natural disasters, you will secure buildings by boarding up windows and preparing sandbags.
