The Production Coater Technician I serves as an intermediate-level professional at the forefront of First Solar's manufacturing process. This role is dedicated to the critical "coating" application of semiconductors, where the primary objective is to safely operate specialized equipment to manufacture high-quality photovoltaic solar modules at the required production rate.
Technicians in this position are responsible for managing materials and processes while conducting operational preventative maintenance. The role involves addressing intermediate-level alarms, performing basic quality control procedures, and utilizing simple hand tools and systems during floor operations. Additionally, certified technicians may be tasked with training others on specific tasks.
