Under the guidance of the Service Center General Manager, the Technical Services Manager leads a team dedicated to technical services, encompassing Lab Pack, Hazardous Household Waste (HHW), and Onsite Project Management. This role is critical for ensuring that offsite management of retail and hazardous waste aligns with environmental health, safety, and regulatory compliance, including DOT regulations. The position drives operational excellence by meeting production and waste management goals while maintaining a productive and profitable service center.
Beyond operational oversight, the Technical Services Manager is accountable for driving superior customer satisfaction. This involves strict adherence to customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), alongside a focus on account retention. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of logistics, strategic planning, and the ability to consistently exceed customer expectations.
This position demands a hands-on approach to executing key initiatives. Team members are required to wear company-provided personal protective equipment, including eye protection, foot protection, hard hats, Tyvek coveralls, and respirators. The role involves a willingness to travel via automobile, commercial airline, or other public transportation up to 25% of the time, which may include some weekend work. Candidates must be prepared to pass a DEA background check where relevant and are expected to abide by Clean Earth's Core Values and Code of Conduct.
