The Central Science Team within Amazon's People Experience and Technology org (PXTCS) leverages economics, behavioral science, statistics, machine learning, and Generative AI to proactively identify mechanisms and process improvements. Our mission is to simultaneously enhance Amazon's operational efficiency and the lives, well-being, and value of work for Amazonians. As an interdisciplinary group, we combine the talents of science, engineering, and UX to develop and deliver solutions that measurably achieve these goals.
We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to own and drive large, critical programs spanning multiple teams and organizations. You will manage complex technical initiatives involving machine learning models, AI systems, and causal econometric models designed to improve the employee experience for over 1.5 million Amazonians worldwide.
In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional engineering, product, data science, and business teams to deliver programs that apply technology and data-driven insights to all aspects of work, including benefits, compensation, recruiting, and organizational culture. Your day-to-day involves identifying dependencies, enabling seamless collaboration between technical teams building AI/ML models and business stakeholders, and continuously monitoring progress to highlight roadblocks early. You will lead communication across various levels, providing executive visibility into high-impact programs while mentoring junior TPMs.
