About the Team

The Central Science Team within Amazon's People Experience and Technology org (PXTCS) leverages economics, behavioral science, statistics, machine learning, and Generative AI to proactively identify mechanisms and process improvements. Our mission is to simultaneously enhance Amazon's operational efficiency and the lives, well-being, and value of work for Amazonians. As an interdisciplinary group, we combine the talents of science, engineering, and UX to develop and deliver solutions that measurably achieve these goals.

About the Role

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to own and drive large, critical programs spanning multiple teams and organizations. You will manage complex technical initiatives involving machine learning models, AI systems, and causal econometric models designed to improve the employee experience for over 1.5 million Amazonians worldwide.

In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional engineering, product, data science, and business teams to deliver programs that apply technology and data-driven insights to all aspects of work, including benefits, compensation, recruiting, and organizational culture. Your day-to-day involves identifying dependencies, enabling seamless collaboration between technical teams building AI/ML models and business stakeholders, and continuously monitoring progress to highlight roadblocks early. You will lead communication across various levels, providing executive visibility into high-impact programs while mentoring junior TPMs.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of employee experience at Amazon through innovative technology at scale. You will work closely with senior business partners and our team of UX researchers, data scientists, economists, and engineers to create positive experiences.

Hiring Process

Candidates with a passion for driving cross-functional, cross-team innovation with large-scale impact are encouraged to apply. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with experience in research data, building ML tools, and working with large, unstructured data sets.

Equal Opportunity & Culture

Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.

Pursuant to the Los Angeles County and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinances, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, please visit our accommodations page for more information.
