The Technical Leader for the Design Process team operates within the Advanced Applications Engineering Group of the GE Vernova Hitachi (GVH) Engineering organization. This team is dedicated to developing, refining, and executing standardized work processes and methods. The core mission is to drive efficiency, coordination, and communication with internal and external stakeholders to support the global deployment of the BWRX-300 nuclear reactor.
This position serves as a pivotal leadership bridge between engineering strategy and execution. You will provide technical oversight, direction, and resource management for a multinational, geographically dispersed team of engineers. The role exists to ensure the successful planning and execution of the BWRX-300 Design Process, managing complex issues within the functional area of expertise while contributing to long-term engineering strategy.
In this fast-paced, global environment, you will act as a technical liaison with customers, partner organizations, and suppliers. Your day-to-day involves interfacing with engineering disciplines, project management, and stakeholders to advance the planning, design, execution, and delivery of new plant projects. You will lead the integration of design processes that meet business needs, guiding the team through the lifecycle from conceptual design to detailed design, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.

Demonstrated leadership experience in Systems Engineering and Design Process, specifically with new product introductions (NPI) and familiarity with GE Nuclear Design Process and Procedures. Experience working with EPCs in design and delivery of large infrastructure projects in a highly regulated industry, especially nuclear. Design and licensing experience in Commercial Nuclear Power Plants. Licensed Professional Engineer. PMP Certification, Project Management Leadership Program (PMLP) Graduate, or other Project Management training. Experience with BWR technology including international design standards. Knowledge of USNRC and CNSC licensing and IAEA requirements. Demonstrated leadership in defining state-of-the-art nuclear plant/systems engineering and ability to teach and set standard practices. Experience with large-scale power generation construction projects, Field Engineering, and/or Contract Management. Experience in a customer-facing role explaining and working through complex technical problems. High energy level and self-starter.
