The City of Riverside, Public Utilities Department is recruiting for a temporary, part-time Technical Intern within the Finance Division. This non-benefited role is designed for students currently enrolled in, or recent graduates (within the last five years) of, an accredited post-secondary or vocational institution with coursework in a specialized field.
Distinguished from administrative or management internships, this position focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to assist staff in performing technical duties. Under general supervision, the intern will complement and supplement existing City programs while gaining hands-on experience in the Finance Division.
The selection process begins with a screening of the employment application package and supplemental questionnaire. The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in an assessment process, which may include written, performance, and oral evaluations to assess relevant education, experience, and abilities.
Successful candidates will be placed on an eligibility list that may be used to fill current and upcoming vacancies for up to six months. Candidates selected to move forward will be notified via email with self-scheduling instructions for their assessments. Please check your email regularly following the recruitment closing date.
