About the Role

The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager serves as the New Product Introduction (NPI) Tech Lead, driving the physical deployment scalability of robotics solutions across Amazon's fulfillment network from Alpha through Beta Exit. This role combines deep technical deployment expertise with strategic program management to ensure products are optimized for large-scale physical deployability before entering general availability.

As part of the Fulfillment Technology & Robotics Deployment organization, you will own the critical transition from deployment process development to scalable deployment, establishing the foundation for successful rollouts. You will serve as the primary deployment systems engineering expert for assigned products, working closely with Product Engineering teams and Field Execution teams to implement Design for Deployment improvements and establish comprehensive deployment frameworks.

A Day in the Life

Your work will focus on driving deployment excellence through comprehensive design analysis and optimization. You will examine technical drawings to identify deployment challenges, conduct deployment tradeoff analysis, and manage the identification, prioritization, and implementation of design and process changes that enhance robotic deployment efficiency. Your role encompasses developing deployment strategies aligned with organizational tenets while creating and tracking priority zero metrics that establish measurable benchmarks for installation excellence.

You will lead specialized work streams including process optimization and risk management to achieve deployment acceleration. This includes conducting deployability assessments with time studies for cycle time optimization and crew size determination. You will own the generation and implementation tracking of Design for Deployment requirements, collaborating with hardware development teams to quantify design change impacts through field validation.

Cross-functional partnership is essential as you represent Tech Deploy in change management forums, providing expert guidance and quantitative impact analysis. You will partner with teams for work instruction development, serve as the primary contact for deployment scalability questions, and highlight and report on deployment risks to leadership. Your responsibilities include defining and creating deployment deliverables, maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout Alpha and Beta phases, and validating process stability for scaling.
