The Network & Cable Decommissioning (NCD) team is currently expanding. We are a diverse group of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. We collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.
You will join a fast-paced environment as a Network & Cable Decommissioning Technician. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, network engineers, and operations teams to recover rack space, remove cabling infrastructure, and sanitize legacy network equipment. Your day-to-day involves executing physical decommissioning tasks in a data center environment, managing priorities through ticketing systems, and ensuring all work is documented and compliant with safety and quality standards.
You will be responsible for reading and comprehending data center build documentation and site-specific layouts, creating change requests, and coordinating multiple tasks concurrently. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders to provide status updates and remove obstacles. You will also be expected to deliver sustainable, repeatable solutions with a focus on continuous improvement.
