About the Role
This position is based at our Sturgis, MI location within the Abbott Nutrition division. For over 70 years, our Sturgis facility has been a cornerstone of the community, producing essential nutrition products for millions of families globally. You will join a family dedicated to making a difference, supporting science-based nutrition brands like Similac®, PediaSure®, and Ensure®.
As a Technical Document Coordinator, you will be the vital link ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient contractor work within the facility. Your day will involve coordinating activities between external contractors and internal operations, maintenance, and engineering teams. You will prepare and maintain critical risk assessment documentation, ensuring all work meets FDA, OSHA, and Abbott's rigorous EHS and food safety standards. This role is essential for protecting employee safety, product integrity, and facility operations while fostering a strong safety culture.

- check_circleCreate and maintain comprehensive risk assessments for all contractor work
- check_circleSupport assessment and mitigation of safety risks for construction and maintenance activities
- check_circleEnsure contractor activities meet Abbott, division, plant, and regulatory EHS and quality requirements
- check_circleFacilitate communication between external contractors and Abbott personnel
- check_circleCoordinate daily with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on contractor activities
- check_circleAlign contractor coordinator assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflows
- check_circleIdentify gaps or risks in contractor processes and escalate concerns appropriately
- check_circleParticipate in Tier 1, Contractor, and Tier 2 meetings as required
Requirements

- verified2+ years' relevant experience in Operations, Technical Services, or Quality in healthcare industry

Nice to Have
