Our client is an award-winning provider of innovative design solutions. Headquartered in New York City with additional satellite offices, the firm operates locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architectural Designer or Job Captain to join our Corporate, Commercial, Workplace, or Retail Banking Interiors teams. This role serves as a critical bridge between design intent and construction reality, ensuring technical precision from the initial site survey through to project close-out.
In this position, you will manage full construction documentation, including technical detailing and specifications, while coordinating closely with the design team, clients, landlords, and external consultants. Your day-to-day involves rigorous code reviews (egress, fixture counts, path of travel), redline reviews of construction documents, and the management of RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals. You will also lead site inspections, layout approvals, and punchlist compilations, ensuring that every project adheres to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
This opportunity is available immediately in either our New York City office or our Maitland, FL location, which houses our dedicated Retail Banking Interiors Practice.
Interested candidates should submit their resume and portfolio to be considered for an initial screening. Selected applicants will proceed through a technical review and interview process to assess their fit within our team.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
