About the Mission
The mission of Speechify is to ensure that reading is never a barrier to learning. Over 50 million people use Speechify's text-to-speech products to turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio, enabling users to read faster, read more, and remember more. The platform includes iOS, Android, Mac, and Web apps, as well as a Chrome Extension, which was named Chrome Extension of the Year by Google and App of the Day by Apple.
About the Team
Today, nearly 200 people work on Speechify in a 100% distributed setting with no physical office. The team includes frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and founders from leading companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, as well as high-growth startups like Stripe, Vercel, and Bolt. We are a flat organization where anyone can become a leader by demonstrating excellent technical skills and consistently delivering results quickly. Work ethic, solid communication, and an obsession with winning are paramount.
About the Role
This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about making product decisions. You will actively ship production code to web products and work closely with a dedicated product team to participate in discussions that shape the roadmap. The opportunity to work on new and exciting features that will impact millions of lives is central to this position.
