About the Role
This position serves as a vital technical liaison between the company and its contract producers, ensuring the highest standards of bird care, comfort, and flock performance. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance on building specifications, equipment settings, litter management, and farm sanitation. Your work directly impacts the ability to produce flocks of the highest quality at the lowest cost while maintaining strict compliance with production contracts and government regulations.
In this role, you will conduct regular farm visits to document bird comfort and monitor flock health, intervening with remedies when necessary. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to coordinating logistics, including chick placements, catch schedules, and feed ordering, while ensuring seamless communication between the hatchery, feed mill, and live haul operations. You will also be tasked with collecting blood and fat samples on schedule and ensuring all handling of poultry adheres to USDA and other federal guidelines.
