The Regional Medical Director – Austin serves as the primary medical leader for our veterinary health network in the Austin area. In this position, you will provide visionary clinical leadership and regional oversight, setting and upholding the highest standards of medical quality, patient safety, and client experience. You will guide the development and continual improvement of clinical protocols, standards of care, and best practices across general practice and other service lines.
This role is designed for an experienced small-animal veterinarian who thrives on coaching and developing others. You will act as a key clinical liaison between hospital teams and central leadership, representing the needs of veterinarians while helping translate organizational strategy into clear, practical actions. Your day-to-day involves collaborating closely with practice leaders, veterinarians, and cross-functional partners to implement innovative, evidence-based approaches to pet healthcare.
You will play a pivotal role in workforce planning and talent development, recruiting and retaining medical leaders who embody our collaborative culture. As a leader in our growing network, you will have the opportunity to shape the standards of care for the region and influence the future of veterinary medicine within an innovative organization. Mission Pet Health offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that reflects the seniority and impact of this role, including competitive base salary with bonus potential, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, retirement savings options such as a 401k, and support for ongoing continuing education.
