About the Role
We are currently searching for a Team Leader for our Calvert location. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position serves as a vital bridge between management and operators. The role is designed for individuals who are encouraged to learn, grow, develop, and contribute within a dynamic environment.
In this position, you will ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to your designated shift, crew, or function. You will spend more than 20% of your time performing production tasks similar to those of your team members, including troubleshooting, minor equipment maintenance, and setup. Beyond hands-on work, you will train group members, participate in the performance appraisal process, and maintain effective communications to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met. You will also serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, ensuring operational and safety documentation is completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circlePerform production tasks, troubleshooting, and minor equipment maintenance for over 20% of time
- check_circleMaintain a clean and safe work area and monitor proper loading and rigging of shipments
- check_circleDisseminate written and verbal instructions, direction, and training from senior management
- check_circleEnforce processing procedures and policies while facilitating communication between management and operators
Requirements
