About the Role

As a Special Education Teaching Assistant at Cronin Elementary School, you will play a vital role in establishing a well-organized and smoothly functioning educational environment. Your primary mission is to ensure that students with and without disabilities can fully take advantage of the instructional program, extra-curricular activities, and District resources.

Working under the guidance of assigned teachers, building administrators, and the Director of Special Education, you will support daily learning while navigating a dynamic school setting. The role requires physical endurance and adaptability, as you will be moving between classrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas to supervise students and assist with instructional materials. Whether standing, sitting, or kneeling to engage with students, your presence helps facilitate an inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive.

Requirements

  • verifiedProfessional Educator License OR Substitute License from ROE OR Paraprofessional License through Illinois State Board of Education
