Twin Cities High School is a private institution in Minneapolis serving a diverse student population. We are dedicated to supporting students through their critical first two years of high school, ensuring they have the resources to succeed academically and personally.
As an English/Humanities Teacher, you will primarily support 9th and 10th-grade students who are struggling to reach grade-level expectations. This position is designed to complement the core curriculum by providing targeted intervention within the regular classroom setting.
You will collaborate closely with English, History, and Religion teachers to plan and execute "push-in" support strategies. A significant portion of your day will be dedicated to "Office Hours," where you will facilitate small-group or individualized interventions. Your work involves analyzing student data alongside an Intervention Team to refine learning plans and track progress. You will also play a key role in increasing parental involvement in student success and maintaining detailed reporting on daily hours and monthly progress.
This is a Title-funded position that relies on assessment data and classroom observations to identify students needing additional support. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for continuous learning, particularly regarding MTSS frameworks, intervention best practices, and the Science of Reading.
