The Teacher, Exceptional Student Education (ESE), serves as a dedicated educator responsible for the comprehensive instruction of students with diverse learning needs within a classroom setting. This role is pivotal in fostering an environment where every student can thrive through specially designed instruction, tailored accommodations, and robust support systems aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
In this position, you will be the architect of individualized learning journeys, developing and implementing Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) that address present levels of performance, specific special education needs, and measurable instructional goals. Your day-to-day involves employing a variety of evidence-based teaching techniques to help students meet their unique objectives while maintaining a positive educational climate built on respect and rapport.
Beyond direct instruction, you will act as a key communicator and collaborator, partnering with parents, school personnel, and paraprofessionals to ensure consistent student progress and engagement. You will also oversee the management of student behavior through positive behavior supports and effective interventions, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for all.
