This is a 10-month position for a Special Education Teacher Assistant supporting students in Secondary Adapted programs. The role is designed to foster an inclusive learning environment where empathy and cooperation are central to daily interactions.
Candidates must be willing to learn specialized instructional and management techniques tailored for disabled students. A core part of the role involves developing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
To ensure student safety, assistants are required to seek and maintain current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and First Aid.
Please note: Special Education Teacher Assistants hired for Secondary Adapted programs are required to be on the RCPS approved driving list.
