The Tax Specialist I is an entry-level position designed to build foundational knowledge in California sales tax reporting regulations. You will assist in generating sales and use tax audit leads by reviewing data to verify accuracy and identify opportunities for client revenue recovery. This is a direct revenue-generating role where you will work closely with the Audit Services Supervisor and senior team members. The position involves conducting field canvasses to obtain real-time inventory of local business activity for new client agencies.
We offer a flexible work environment that allows for collaboration across offices and remote teams. This role is based in our Brea, CA location. All new hires must complete an introductory period, after which the schedule requires two days per week in the office, with other days available for remote work.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a standard interview process to assess fit with our core values and technical capabilities. Successful applicants will be guided by senior team members through an onboarding period focused on learning our proprietary software and standard operating procedures.
