As a Tax Expert, you will serve as a trusted advisor, empowering customers to achieve positive financial outcomes while supporting Intuit's mission of "Powering Prosperity Around the World."

In this position, you will work on-site at a TurboTax location, playing a key role in growing TurboTax's client base within the local community. You will establish long-term relationships and drive customer loyalty by leveraging TurboTax marketing support and software to build a thriving business that fosters prosperity for both you and your community.

About the Role

As a Tax Expert – Retail On-Site, you will serve customers both in-person and virtually using Intuit TurboTax products. Your focus will be on bringing in new customers and acting as their guide through the tax process. You will provide full-service tax return preparation, tax advice, calculations, and software support, handling everything from simple to complex tax situations.

Your ability to demonstrate an understanding of each customer's unique situation and connect with them on a personal level is critical to alleviating the stress many feel when tackling their taxes. You will facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice. By interacting with customers through state-of-the-art video communication tools and in-person meetings, you will help them overcome tax-related challenges and achieve their financial goals, such as saving for retirement, college funds, weddings, or vacations.

Beyond individual client work, you will act as a proactive community ambassador. You will enthusiastically represent TurboTax locally, serving as the public face of the brand in your community. This includes engaging with new prospects, nurturing leads, and converting them into long-term clients through proactive outreach. You will also lead local events, participate in local marketing, and make the topic of taxes accessible and approachable for everyone.

Hiring Process and Application

This is a seasonal, nonexempt role requiring onsite presence at a TurboTax location in the United States. To apply, please ensure you meet the credential requirements, including an active, unrestricted credential (EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney) and an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). Candidates must be able to obtain any necessary state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
