About the Role
As a Senior Portfolio Manager - Team Lead within the Tax Credit Lending coverage team, you will be a key driver in managing transactions and business portfolio tasks. This role is designed for a subject-matter expert who thrives on the deal process, offering recommendations on credit structures and pricing while ensuring the bank operates within its risk appetite.
You will lead a team of Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Your day-to-day involves partnering closely with Relationship Managers to form a cohesive coverage team, meeting with clients, and assessing the viability of prospective borrowers. You will be directly accountable for the risk profile of your portfolio, engaging in proactive monitoring, reviewing financial statements, and collaborating with Credit Analysts to execute deal renewals or modifications.
Beyond technical execution, you will serve as a mentor to junior team members, providing insights into the bank's lines of business and their related economics. Your leadership will ensure that actions and behaviors consistently drive a positive customer experience while upholding the highest standards of integrity and policy compliance.
