We are seeking a dedicated T3-EL Before/After School Enrichment/Support Teacher to join the Multilingual/Multicultural Education Department at Hilltop Elementary. This position is designed to provide targeted enrichment and academic support specifically for Multilingual Learner (ML) students.
The role focuses on accelerating language acquisition across the four critical domains: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Working within the framework of the WIDA English/Spanish Language Development Standards, you will deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate instruction that aligns with district curriculum goals and School Improvement Plans. This is a non-union instructional staff position reporting directly to the Building Principal.
Your day will involve collaborating closely with the principal and MME staff to develop a Title III enrichment proposal tailored to the specific needs of the school. You will analyze data from state standardized assessments, formative measures, and tools like iReady to identify ML students requiring additional support. Once identified, you will coordinate schedules to deliver explicit, research-based instruction to small groups during before and after-school hours.
Beyond direct instruction, you will be responsible for tracking student progress through Title III class profiles, maintaining accurate data records for interim reports and report cards, and communicating frequently with building administration, colleagues, students, and parents regarding student growth.
This position is open immediately (ASAP) and will remain open until filled. Candidates must possess a Professional Educator License with a Bilingual and/or ESL endorsement, or a Provisional Educator License, along with extensive experience working with Multilingual Learners in the U-46 district.
Interested candidates should apply through the district's standard hiring channels. The role offers an hourly rate of $32.85 for 60 work days.
U-46 is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We value the unique perspectives that Multilingual Learners and their families bring to our schools and strive to create an environment where all students can thrive.
