The Systems Specialist II is a pivotal field role designed to handle larger, more complex projects and multiple jobs simultaneously. This position requires a higher level of technical skill and customer interaction than entry-level specialist roles. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of system installation and service, from initial start-up and checkout to troubleshooting and final calibration.
In this role, you will manage projects to ensure quality outcomes and on-time delivery within budget expectations. A significant portion of your day involves responding to emergency service calls and diagnosing defects in sensors, field panels, or control consoles. You will act as the technical face of BCS, presenting a professional image while advising customers on corrective actions and coordinating with electrical contractors on-site. The role also includes providing technical assistance and onsite training to end users and field labor.
This position operates primarily at job sites in diverse indoor and outdoor conditions. You will work in close quarters on HVAC equipment, often in environments with extreme heat, cold, humidity, or noise levels ranging from moderate to very loud. The role involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and occasional toxic or caustic fumes. While the work is physically demanding, it also requires regular use of computers and electronic media for programming and reporting.
