Aerodyne Industries Careers is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team, where we support critical NASA and defense aerospace programs. Our mission is to drive human spaceflight and national space initiatives through rigorous engineering excellence. In this collaborative environment, you will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of complex spaceflight and ground systems.
This mission-driven role offers you the opportunity to lead the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements development and interface definition to system architecture, integration, and verification. You will be instrumental in defining system architectures, concepts of operations, and technical baselines for high-stakes projects. Your work will directly impact the success of national space initiatives, requiring you to perform trade studies, modeling, and risk analysis to optimize system performance.
Day-to-day, you will prepare technical documentation, specifications, and test plans while supporting design reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR. You will interface directly with NASA and government customers, as well as contractors, to maintain technical alignment. Beyond technical execution, you will collaborate with operations and IT teams to resolve anomalies and drive continuous improvement of mission systems, ensuring that every technical risk is identified, mitigated, and tracked to closure.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a comprehensive evaluation process designed to assess technical depth and cultural fit. The process typically includes an initial screening to verify qualifications and security clearance eligibility, followed by a technical deep-dive into systems engineering methodologies and aerospace domain knowledge. Final stages involve a presentation or case study on system architecture and a team fit interview to ensure alignment with our collaborative culture.
