Our Railroad & Transit team provides design and construction solutions to help maintain, improve, and expand the nation's railroad and transit infrastructure. We have designed the implementation of critical programs across the country and support the renewed emphasis on a public transit-oriented lifestyle.
As a Systems Design Associate on our Railroad & Transit team, you will join a collaborative environment in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA. This role is designed to provide technical support for the development, integration, and verification of complex train control and signaling systems. You will participate in systems engineering activities across the entire project lifecycle, focusing on requirements management, system architecture, interface coordination, and system integration.
This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your technical expertise through direct mentorship with senior engineering and design staff. You will balance railroad operational objectives, such as train performance and capacity, with safety-critical requirements while authoring technical papers to document system functionality enhancements. The role involves close collaboration with other disciplines to resolve interface issues and support project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
