About the Team
ASML US brings together creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines essential for producing faster, cheaper, and more energy-efficient microchips. Cymer Light Source (CLS), a key part of ASML, designs, develops, integrates, and supports deep ultraviolet (DUV) laser light sources that serve as critical subsystems for ASML lithography systems.
CLS operates in close collaboration with ASML Development & Engineering, Manufacturing, and global customer support organizations to deliver reliable, high-performance light source solutions. While our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, we maintain major engineering and manufacturing locations in the United States, including San Diego, California.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDirect a group of control and algorithms engineers to deliver new and upgraded laser light control algorithms
- check_circleOversee the Light Control Function including goal setting, work assignments, and performance management
- check_circleOwn the Light Control function roadmap across the full product lifecycle from concept to sustainment
- check_circleCollaborate with architects and project leads to align on requirements, priorities, and delivery timelines
- check_circleParticipate in developing technology roadmaps and defining technical elements of the business strategy
- check_circleMonitor and guide the quality of control designs through disciplined reviews and verification activities
- check_circleInterface with other CLS sectors and Systems Engineering to coordinate activities and requirements
- check_circleDefine and enforce functional policies, standards, and ways of working for the Light Control domain
- check_circleProvide technical leadership in control systems, automation, and laser physics to meet performance requirements
- check_circleDevelop the Light Control Function's technical capabilities, team composition, and processes
- check_circleProvide technical leadership during escalations and approve technical changes to released products
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering with Control Systems emphasis
- verified8 years of relevant work experience or combination of industry experience and relevant doctoral research
- verifiedExperience designing complex algorithms and control systems
- verifiedExperience in semiconductor equipment design
- verifiedPrevious experience managing a team
